Dear students, teachers, parents, administrators, and other members of our EIS community,
So much has happened since our last Village newsletter, it is hard to know where to begin. As I write this, we have just come to the end of another fabulous Creative Arts Week, where our students displayed their skills and talents in everything creative! It is an absolute pleasure to see the growing interest in dynamism that is evolving in terms of the arts at EIS. It is an area of learning that is fundamental if we are going to develop well balanced and creative global citizens ready to take on the world. The opportunity for our students to express themselves through art, music and dance, and the associated confidence it brings should never be understated. I am thoroughly looking forward to a time when our campus can facilitate even more opportunities for performance and creativity.
Of course, the big news that everybody’s talking about at school is the development of our campus and the addition of significant multipurpose space incorporating sports, science, performance space and of course a few classrooms. By the time you read this, the piling may well be complete meaning that we can begin the all-important foundations. Before you know it, the building will begin to take shape. The building, in some ways, feels like a reward to those of you that have stuck with us for so long, even after the promise of an additional facility made to you back in 2015 had to be shelved. As ever, it is great to have you with us on the journey and, as they say, the best things come to those who wait!
As you read through these pages, please be sure to look at the exciting activities that are happening across the school, not only in your child’s class. In this way, you will be reminded of the wonderful opportunities and the fabulous community that EIS presents to its students every single day.
Full magazine can be read here.
All the best,
Head of School
