European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) welcomes students of all nationalities who would benefit from our educational programme and whose parents share the school’s Mission and Objectives.

Admission is granted to a student when it has been determined that the School has an appropriate programme and resources to meet that individual’s learning needs. Applications for both immediate and future entry are considered at any time throughout the year.

The birth date cut-off for placement in a particular grade is the 31 August in the academic year (commencing in August) of admission. The child must have turned the appropriate age on or prior to the 31 August for the grade in question.

Settling into EIS

An intrinsic aspect of the school’s vision narrative is the importance The European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) places on family and the community and that, as an educational village, we truly value “the diverse contributions that are made by the community, families and individuals to our supportive and happy learning environment.” New students settle in and make new friends quickly due to the supportive, safe and family style environment on campus. On arriving at EIS new students are assigned buddies from their homeroom to assist with orientation, timetabling and familiarising themselves with the school culture and parents are welcomed by our supportive Parent Representative Council also. In addition to this parents are able to communicate easily with Homeroom Teachers and support staff to assist with any questions they may have. At EIS there is strong parent involvement and support throughout the school which further enables a smooth transition to the school. The warmth and openness of our educational village ensures that all new students and their families are sure to feel welcomed and a part of our community almost as soon as they walk on campus.

Our friendly and dedicated Admissions Team ensure that all the administrative details which need to be completed before your child’s first day are clear and are always on hand to provide help and assistance outside the remit of the academic staff and parent representatives.
